Just two weeks ago, with a stunning view over all of London and clinking glasses with Simone Caporale’s cocktails during London Aperitivo Week at the enchanting Sard London, we talked about the brand-new Montana Bar in Hong Kong
*Watch Simone outline the concept of this fantastic new bar in 60 seconds and read on.* (c.c.: a video is playing with Simone briefly explaining the concept.)
The summer of 2025 has brought a thrilling new destination to Hong Kong: Montana, the new bar from Simone Caporale in collaboration with Lorenzo Antinori. The bar has just opened at 108 Hollywood Road, in the heart of bustling SoHo.
Note that only the day before yesterday, Bar Leonne by Lorenzo Antinori in Hong Kong was awarded No. 1 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars for the second consecutive year.
Montana draws on the old school of Cuban cocktails, reinterpreted through a colourful, dynamic lens inspired by 1970s Miami. It isn’t just another cocktail bar: it’s a live set where craft, energy and contemporary hospitality meet.

Its name comes from a rare and forgotten cocktail recorded in the historic manual of the Club de Cantineros. That spirit of discovery runs through the entire Montana experience—from what’s in the glass to the atmosphere of the room.
Caporale and Antinori’s vision rests on three pillars: hospitality with heart, composition with identity, and a rhythm that sweeps you along. The result is a bar with a Latin-tinged aura, warm lighting and music that transports you—a space that feels both familiar and completely renewed.

Montana brings the trend of “Fauxstalgia” to Hong Kong’s cocktail scene, infusing a breeze of nostalgic exoticism through an entirely contemporary lens.
